                                            [0] => The article investigates social representations of Risk Management (RM) in archives of Brazilian federal universities, highlighting managers’ perceptions of challenges and institutional practices. The qualitative research, carried out between 2021 and 2024, used semi-structured interviews with managers from universities that have a Risk Management Plan. The analysis was conducted through the Collective Subject Discourse methodology, based on Social Representations Theory. The results indicate problems such as the absence of a dedicated budget, shortage of qualified personnel, and the prioritization of other areas to the detriment of archival work. Two main axes were revealed: advances in archival organization and the appreciation of documentary heritage, contrasted with structural weaknesses, physical limitations, scarcity of human resources, and lack of institutional support. Although recognized as indispensable, RM is still carried out reactively and in a fragmented way. The study concludes that cultural change, supported by policies, protocols, and team integration, is essential to consolidate preventive preservation practices.
                                            [1] => O artigo investiga as representações sociais sobre a Gestão de Riscos (GR) em arquivos de universidades federais brasileiras, destacando percepções de gestores sobre desafios e práticas institucionais. A pesquisa qualitativa, realizada entre 2021 e 2024, utilizou entrevistas semiestruturadas com gestores de universidades que possuem Plano de Gestão de Riscos. A análise foi conduzida pela metodologia do Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo, fundamentada na Teoria das Representações Sociais. Os resultados apontam problemas como ausência de orçamento próprio, carência de pessoal qualificado e prioridade de outras áreas em detrimento da arquivística. Revelaram-se dois eixos principais: avanços na organização arquivística e valorização do patrimônio documental, em contraste com fragilidades estruturais, limitações físicas, escassez de recursos humanos e falta de apoio institucional. Embora reconhecida como indispensável, a GR ainda ocorre de forma reativa e fragmentada. Conclui-se que a mudança cultural, sustentada por políticas, protocolos e integração de equipes, é fundamental para consolidar práticas preventivas de preservação.
