                                            [0] => Optometry is recognized as a health profession, which is gaining great relevance due to the high visual demands required by the new technologies that we use in our daily lives. This study analyzes the scientific production in the area of ​​optometry generated in Spanish institutions. Scopus is used as a data source, including the Spanish publications collected in the journals indexed in the Optometry category and those that have been recovered through the search of the entire database using the descriptor optometr* up to the year 2023 included. Indicators of production, impact and collaboration were obtained and the main topics addressed, the most productive authors and institutions of the 1,107 publications included in the study were analyzed. The results show that Optometry in Spain is at a time of expansion of its scientific production.
                                            [1] => La optometría está reconocida como una profesión sanitaria, que está cobrando gran relevancia debido a la alta exigencia visual que requieren las nuevas tecnologías que usamos en nuestra vida cotidiana. En este estudio se analiza la producción científica en el área de la optometría generada en instituciones españolas. Se utiliza Scopus como fuente de datos, incluyéndose las publicaciones españolas recogidas en las revistas indexadas en la categoría Optometría y las que se han recuperado a través de la búsqueda en toda la base de datos utilizando el descriptor optometr* hasta el año 2023 incluido. Se obtienen indicadores de producción, impacto y colaboración y se analizan los principales temas abordados, autores e instituciones más productivos de las 1.107 publicaciones incluidas en el estudio. Los resultados ponen de manifiesto que la optometría en España se encuentra en un momento de expansión de su producción científica.
