                                            [0] => The book Biblioteca na escola (2024), by librarian and researcher Silvia Castrillón, is an invitation to reflect more deeply on school libraries and education. Organized into six chapters, the author works on access to material culture, books, literature and mediation actions as symbolic interventions to open up subjects' worlds. These are the keynote for another library model, in which the social, cultural, ethical and political dimensions would be realized in favor of a democratic, inclusive and just society. Improving the quality of teaching will require, as the author pointed out, reconnecting the knowledge of Librarianship with Education, as well as its professionals (librarians and teachers), who are responsible for human and citizen education.
                                            [1] => A obra Biblioteca na escola (2024), da bibliotecária e pesquisadora Silvia Castrillón, é um convite à reflexão mais profunda acerca das bibliotecas escolares e da educação. Organizada  em seis capítulos, a autora trabalha o acesso à cultura material, aos livros, a literatura e ações de mediação como intervenções simbólicas para abertura de mundo dos sujeitos. Estas são a tônica para um outro modelo de biblioteca, em que as dimensões sociais, culturais, éticas e políticas, se efetivariam em prol de uma sociedade democrática, inclusiva e justa. A melhoria da qualidade do ensino requerirá, como apontou a autora, a religação dos saberes da Biblioteconomia com a Educação, assim como de seus profissionais (bibliotecários e professores), que são responsáveis pela formação humana e cidadã.
