                                            [0] => To mark the 40th anniversary of the Biblioteca Universitaria journal, this article examines the process that the electronic version of the platform went through during its incorporation into an international trend that continues to this day: its incursion into the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, a software program created by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP), an open-access academic publishing initiative.The diverse experiences that emerged during this process are shared here, from the perspective of technical and academic work to its impact as a university and national trend.The platform’s contents, scope, and benefits are outlined. This is followed by a personal review of the system’s learning curve in an environment where information and guidance were scarce. The article continues with a review of the emergence of the UNAM Journal Portal project and the decisions made by the Biblioteca Universitaria editorial team during its transition from an internal server to indexing within the aforementioned external portal. Finally, the current status of the electronic journal is discussed in the period following the launch of the Journal Portal. This contribution concludes with a brief reflection on the current status of the electronic journal and what might be expected from it in the future.
                                            [1] => En torno al 40 aniversario de la revista Biblioteca Universitaria se explora el proceso por el cual atravesó la plataforma de su versión electrónica durante su etapa de incorporación hacia una tendencia internacional, que sigue vigente hasta nuestros días, su ingreso a la plataforma Open Journal Systems (OJS), que es un software creado por el Public Knowledge Project (PKP), una iniciativa editorial académica y de acceso abierto.Se comparten aquí las diversas experiencias que surgieron durante este proceso desde la perspectiva del trabajo técnico–académico hasta el alcance que tuvo como tendencia universitaria y nacional.Se señala en qué consiste la plataforma, sus alcances y beneficios, posteriormente se aborda la experiencia personal sobre el aprendizaje del sistema en un entorno donde la información y guías al respecto eran escasas; se continúa recordando el surgimiento del proyecto del Portal de Revistas de la UNAM y las decisiones tomadas por parte del equipo editorial de la revista Biblioteca Universitaria durante el proceso de transición de un servidor interno hacia una indexación dentro del mencionado portal externo; y, finalmente, se asienta la situación de la revista electrónica en su periodo posterior a la salida del Portal de Revistas. Se cierra esta contribución con una breve reflexión del estatus actual de la revista electrónica y lo que se podría esperar a futuro de ella.
