                                            [0] => This article discusses the Press Law published during the Second Mexican Empire, as well as its social and cultural impact. The main objective of this work is to analyze the content of the Printing Law and demonstrate how it affected periodicals during this historical period and the social dynamics of 19th-century Mexican publishers. To prepare this work, documentary research was conducted on publications from those years in newspaper archives and libraries, such as the Hemeroteca Nacional de México and the Biblioteca Cervantina of the Tecnológico de Monterrey. As a result, it can be said that the Printing Law not only affected the publication of newspapers and magazines of that time, such as La Cuchara, La Sombra, and La Sociedad, some of which were censored and canceled, but also influenced the economic and social life of publishers, journalists, and writers, such as Manuel C. Villegas, Hesiquio Iriarte, and Joaquín Moreno. Studying censorship and legislation helps us understand social struggles, legal frameworks, and the privilege of the ruling elites, as well as how laws are used to their advantage.
                                            [1] => En el presente artículo se aborda la Ley de imprenta publicada durante el Segundo Imperio Mexicano, así como su impacto social y cultural. El objetivo principal de este trabajo es analizar el contenido de la Ley de imprenta y demostrar la manera en que afectó a las publicaciones periódicas de esta etapa histórica y a la dinámica social de los editores del siglo xix mexicano. Para la elaboración del trabajo, se realizó una investigación documental de las publicaciones de estos años en hemerotecas y bibliotecas, como la Hemeroteca Nacional de México y la Biblioteca Cervantina del Tecnológico de Monterrey. Como resultados, se puede decir que la Ley de imprenta no sólo afectó las publicaciones de periódicos y revistas de aquella época, por ejemplo: La Cuchara, La Sombra, La Sociedad, ya que algunas de ellas fueron censuradas y canceladas, sino que también influyó en la vida económica y social de los editores, periodistas y escritores, como Manuel C. Villegas, Hesiquio Iriarte y Joaquín Moreno. Realizar estudios sobre la censura y legislación nos ayuda a comprender las luchas sociales, los marcos legales y el privilegio de las élites en el poder y de qué forma son utilizadas las leyes para su beneficio.
