                    [0] => This article presents an historical and contextual analysis of the concentration process that led to the creation of the transnational publishing house Penguin Random House. In this story, different stages are covered. The article theorizes about the importance of each moment’s technology and the economic processes have had for the formation of large consortia with interests in cultural production. Precisely, the work lists one of these groups: Bertelsmann, a German company with interests in different fields of culture and which has made Penguin Random House its publishing arm. Towards the end, the work emphasizes the Ibero-American scene and accounts for the way in which Penguin Random House has acquired Spanish-speaking labels and publishers.@en
                    [1] => Este artículo presenta un análisis histórico y contextual de cómo se llevó a cabo el proceso de concentración que dio lugar a la creación de la editorial trasnacional Penguin Random House. En este relato se recorren diferentes etapas y se teoriza respecto de la importancia que han tenido las tecnologías de cada época y los procesos económicos para la conformación de grandes consorcios con intereses en la producción cultural. Precisamente, el trabajo pasa lista a uno de estos grupos: Bertelsmann, una empresa alemana con intereses en diferentes ámbitos de la cultura y que ha hecho de Penguin Random House su brazo editorial. Hacia el final, el trabajo enfatiza en el escenario Iberoamericano y da cuenta de la manera en que Penguin Random House se ha hecho de sellos y editoriales en habla hispana.@es
