                    [0] => In 2019, the Martínez-Fortún family donated his family archives to the Valladolid Municipal Archives, with documentation ranging from the fifteenth to the twentieth century. One of its most remarkable pieces is a collection of photographs from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries of a considerable historical value for the information it provides about its members, the activities they developed and their participation in the Spanish and Cuban society, economy and politics of the time. As we carry out the task of describing the photographs, it becomes necessary to identify, above all, the people who appear in the snapshots. The fact that the collection is part of the Martínez-Fortún archives has facilitated this task of identification, since among the letters that make up the series Correspondence we find some that can be related to photographs in the collection. The relationship between photographic and textual documents, something natural in the organic set of documents that constitutes an archive, gives us the possibility of providing the images with an archival and historical context. In this way, in addition to recognising the people photographed, they can be placed in the coordinates of time and space. The present article studies the relationship between the letters in the family collection and the photographs of León Martínez-Fortún Erlés, one of the first members of the family for whom we have images in the collection, in order to contextualize them temporally and spatially.@en
                    [1] => El pasado 2019, la familia Martínez-Fortún donó al Archivo Municipal de Valladolid el Archivo Familiar, con documentación de cronología amplia, que abarca desde el siglo XV hasta el XX. Destaca en el fondo documental una colección de fotografías de los siglos XIX y XX de un notable valor histórico por la información que proporciona sobre sus miembros, las actividades que desarrollaron y su participación en la sociedad, economía y política española y cubana de ese tiempo. En la tarea que estamos realizando de descripción de las fotografías se hace necesaria la identificación, sobre todo de las personas que aparecen en las instantáneas. El hecho de que la colección forme parte del archivo Martínez-Fortún ha facilitado esa tarea de identificación, puesto que entre las cartas que conforman la serie Correspondencia del archivo familiar hallamos algunas que pueden relacionarse con fotografías de la colección. Estas relaciones entre documentos fotográficos y textuales, naturales en el conjunto orgánico de documentos que es el archivo, permiten que las palabras proporcionen a las imágenes parte de su significado y las sitúen en el contexto archivístico e histórico. De esa forma, además de poder reconocer a las personas fotografiadas, se las podrá situar en las coordenadas de tiempo y espacio que les corresponden. En el artículo se estudian las relaciones entre las cartas del fondo familiar y las fotografías de León Martínez-Fortún Erlés, uno de los primeros miembros de la familia del que se conservan imágenes en la colección, para contextualizarlas temporal y espacialmente.@es
