[0] => This paper presents an analysis of the technologies integrated into the websites of Europe´s leading national libraries. The aim is to improve understanding of, and provide a broader overview of, the most common practices in the design and implementation of websites for this type of library. The study also aims to identify possible patterns or peculiarities in the use of these technologies. For the study, Wappalyzer — a technology profiler that identifies the different types of technologies integrated into websites — was used. The results were compared with Wappalyzer´s reports on technology usage and reveal patterns that largely coincide with current trends. The relationships, interactions and complementarity between the analysed technologies are fundamental to developing functional, optimised and secure websites. However, further studies are needed. For example, more extensive datasets should be used, as well as other identification tools to allow comparison and enrichment of the results. The categorisation of the technologies used should also be expanded.@en
