                                            [0] => This paper aims to highlight the existence of common traits that link collectors Ricardo Brennand (1927-2020) and Henry Lynch (1878-1958). To this end, it presents a critical reading of aspects of their biographical trajectories that are confluent and related to collecting practices. In both cases, the act of collecting is also seen as a form of socio-cultural distinction. The main point of connection between these two collectors is Lynch's nineteenth-century collection, which currently belongs to the Ricardo Brennand Institute. By analyzing the trajectory of this collection in accordance with the principles and procedures of Museology, bringing them closer to the biography of the objects, it was possible to detect what is common in the collecting practice of these two figures who stood out in Brazil as great collectors.

                                            [1] => O presente trabalho objetiva evidenciar a existência de traços comuns que ligam os colecionadores Ricardo Brennand (1927-2020) e Henry Lynch (1878-1958). Para tanto, apresenta uma leitura crítica de aspectos de suas trajetórias biográficas que são confluentes e que estão relacionadas às práticas colecionistas. Em ambos, percebe-se que o ato de colecionar também assume uma forma de distinção sociocultural. O principal ponto de conexão entre esses dois colecionadores é a coleção oitocentista, formada por Lynch, e que, atualmente, pertence ao Instituto Ricardo Brennand. Ao analisar a trajetória dessa coleção, de acordo com os princípios e procedimentos próprios da Museologia, aproximando-os da biografia dos objetos, foi possível detectar o que de comum há na prática colecionista desses dois personagens que se destacaram, no Brasil, como grandes colecionadores.
