                                            [0] => This article analyzes the two provisions granted on the same day to Miguel Pérez de Almazán, which appointed him to the office of chief founder and assayer of gold in Hispaniola. One of these was issued in the name of Ferdinand the Catholic, and the other in the name of his daughter, Joanna I of Castile, highlighting the division in the governance of the Indies following the death of Isabella the Catholic. As original documents, they show a practice previously known only through epoch records. To contextualize the legal significance of documents being issued simultaneously in the names of King Ferdinand and his daughter Joanna, other primary sources have been consulted. These sources reveal the nature of the appointment and the existence of a dual-headed government. The diplomatic analysis of the provisions reveals the systematic issuance of identical documents with the names of both monarchs, demonstrating the partition of sovereignty. In this way, the article provides a solid archival foundation for understanding the administration of the Indies between 1507 and 1516.
                                            [1] => Este artículo analiza las dos provisiones otorgadas el mismo día a Miguel Pérez de Almazán, en las que le concedían el oficio de fundidor y marcador mayor del oro de La Española. Una de ellas se emitió en nombre de Fernando el Católico y la otra en nombre de su hija, Juana I de Castilla, lo que evidencia la división en el gobierno de Indias tras el fallecimiento de Isabel la Católica. Como documentos originales, reflejan una práctica hasta ahora conocida solo por los registros de la época. Para contextualizar la importancia jurídica de que se emitieran documentos de forma paralela a nombre del rey Fernando y de su hija Juana respectivamente, se han consultado otras fuentes primarias que revelan la naturaleza del nombramiento y la existencia de un gobierno bicéfalo. El análisis diplomático de las provisiones revela la emisión sistemática de documentos idénticos con nombres de los dos monarcas y muestra la partición de la soberanía. De esta manera, se aporta una base archivística sólida para entender la administración de Indias entre 1507 y 1516.
