[0] => An organization’s capacity for continuous innovation is closely linked to how effectively it mobilizes existing knowledge to promote organizational learning. This article addresses the following research question through a bibliometric study: Which technique is most frequently used for knowledge extraction based on business process modeling? The bibliometric analysis identified meaningful connections among the most cited authors, seminal publications, leading sources, and countries contributing most significantly to the field. It also examines the main methodological approaches employed. The sample consisted of 91 studies drawn from 65 sources indexed in the Scopus and Web of Science databases. Since 2004, scientific production on the topic has increased steadily, particularly in China, the United States, and Germany. The years 2011 and 2014 were the most productive, suggesting that the topic remains relatively recent within academic literature. These findings point to opportunities for future research that may involve broader bibliometric analyses, including additional metrics and databases, or systematic literature reviews on knowledge extraction in organizations and services grounded in business process modeling.
