Conclusions: to the extent that advances in artificial intelligence burst into society's activities, more competent managers will be needed, with social ethical responsibility, who go beyond their own benefit and face the transformations in society in better conditions. Originality/Value: core competencies for managers constitute an alternative to steer the course of artificial intelligence towards safeguarding contemporary society.
                                            [1] => Objetivo: ¿Cómo desarrollar las competencias básicas para los directivos en entorno de inteligencia artificial responsable y segura? Diseño/Metodología/Enfoque: se emplearon métodos científicos, como: el análisis - síntesis inductivo - deductivo, y el histórico-lógico para identificar diferentes abordajes en el estudio de la inteligencia artificial que favorezcan al desarrollo de las competencias básicas para los directivos en entorno de inteligencia artificial responsable y segura. Además el  Software Statistics Program for Social Sciences (SPSS) para Windows versión 27.0 y el método de expertos. Resultados/Discusión: se identificaron 14 competencias básicas, entre ellas: ética, seguridad psicológica, capacidad disruptiva y resiliencia. Se aportó un plan de formación en vínculo con la universidad, que contribuye a que los directivos afronten las amenazas a la sociedad. Conclusiones: en la medida que los avances en inteligencia artificial irrumpan en las actividades de la sociedad, se necesitarán directivos más competentes, con responsabilidad ética social, que vayan más allá de su beneficio y enfrenten en mejores condiciones las transformaciones en la sociedad. Originalidad/Valor: las competencias básicas para directivos constituyen una alternativa para direccionar el rumbo de la inteligencia artificial hacia salvaguardar la sociedad contemporánea.
