[0] => Working in a junior enterprise is one of the alternatives for professional development in the academic environment, as it is suitable for enriching and optimizing skills in student education. In this sense, this article aims to analyze the professional development in the junior enterprise (JE) of the International Relations (RI) course of Federal University of Amapá (UNIFAP) based on the Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes (KSA) approach. For this purpose, qualitative research was conducted through a case study, document analysis and interview guide with members of the junior enterprise under study. The results were discussed based on an analytical overview of qualitative studies. The findings show the main learning achievements, knowledge, skills, and attitudes (competencies), and the shortcomings and advantages resulting from the work in the junior enterprise. It was concluded that junior enterprises represent a promising space for learning that extends education beyond professionalization and promotes differentiated vocational training.

In this context, the present article aims to analyze professional development within the junior enterprise (JE) of the International Relations (IR) program at the Federal University of Amapá (UNIFAP), using the Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes (KSA) framework as a theoretical foundation. To achieve this objective, a qualitative study was conducted, employing a case study approach, document analysis, and semi-structured interviews with members of the junior enterprise under investigation. The results were interpreted through an analytical lens grounded in qualitative research methodology. The findings highlight the key learning outcomes—knowledge, skills, and attitudes (i.e., competencies)—as well as the challenges and advantages associated with participation in the junior enterprise.
