                                            [0] => The presence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been growing in various sectors, and archives and libraries are no exception. Among the most recently adopted technological solutions, chatbots have taken on an important role, helping to communicate with users and facilitating access to information resources. These systems make it possible to automate repetitive tasks, making services more agile and accessible. However, despite the obvious benefits, the implementation of these tools raises some concerns, particularly in relation to the quality of responses and the ability to correctly interpret the context of interaction. In addition, there are ethical challenges that need to be considered. This study critically analyzes the advantages and limitations of chatbots in Information Science, reflecting on their impact on information practices and institutional dynamics.
                                            [1] => A presença da Inteligência Artificial (IA) tem vindo a crescer em vários setores, e arquivos e bibliotecas não são exceção. Entre as soluções tecnológicas mais adotadas recentemente, os chatbots têm assumido um papel relevante, ajudando na comunicação com os utilizadores e facilitando o acesso a recursos informacionais. Estes sistemas permitem automatizar tarefas repetitivas, tornando os serviços mais ágeis e acessíveis. No entanto, apesar dos benefícios evidentes, a implementação destas ferramentas levanta algumas preocupações, nomeadamente em relação à qualidade das respostas e à capacidade de interpretar corretamente o contexto de interação. Além disso, há desafios éticos que precisam de ser considerados. Este estudo analisa de forma crítica as vantagens e limitações dos chatbots na Ciência da Informação, refletindo sobre o seu impacto nas práticas informacionais e nas dinâmicas institucionais.
