                    [0] => The aim of this paper is to present the creation of the INDEXAR Directory, a new service that is characterised by being a tool that highly promotes access to knowledge in the area of science and culture. The paper describes the context in which it was planned, its funding, the importance of open source in its development, the intended return for the community and the concern for digital preservation.
INDEXAR, as a Directory of Digital Resources, aims to make it easier for the community to discover and access digital teaching and research resources. This service makes available online a list of repositories and scientific journals in the area of science and culture and gathers specific meta information for each resource, enabling users to locate or identify scientific information in their areas of interest.
INDEXAR aims to be the authoritative source of information on national repositories and journals and to ensure their presence in international directories in as interoperable a way as possible.@en
                    [1] => Este trabalho tem por objetivo apresentar a criação do Diretório INDEXAR, um novo serviço que se caracteriza por ser uma ferramenta altamente promotora do acesso ao conhecimento na área da ciência e da cultura. O trabalho descreve o contexto que permitiu a sua planificação, o seu financiamento, a importância do código-aberto no seu desenvolvimento, o retorno que se pretende para a comunidade e a preocupação da preservação digital.
O INDEXAR, enquanto Diretório de Recursos Digitais, pretende facilitar à comunidade a descoberta e acesso a recursos digitais de ensino e de investigação. Este serviço disponibiliza online uma lista de repositórios e revistas científicas na área da ciência e da cultura e reúne, para cada recurso, meta informação específica, que permite aos utilizadores localizar ou identificar informação científica nas suas áreas de interesse.
O INDEXAR tem como objetivo ser a fonte autoritativa de informação sobre repositórios e revistas nacionais e assegurar, de forma tão interoperável quanto possível, a presença destes em diretórios internacionais.@pt
