                    [0] => This paper aims to present a practical example of the use of automatic text transcribers based on Artificial Intelligence as preliminary aids in the collaborative transcription of historical manuscripts, carried out during the Mooc Paleografia na Rede Wiki (Palaeography in the Wiki Network), a course promoted in 2024 by Wiki Movimento Brasil (WMB) in partnership with the Public Archives of the State of Bahia (APEB). During the course, which took place on Wikiversity, the Transkribus platform was incorporated into WikiSource as an initial step for the transcription of documents related to the Malê Revolt, the most significant uprising of enslaved Africans in Bahia, Brazil, in 1835. These documents, of great relevance to APEB, lacked detailed descriptions in the institution’s database, which would only be possible through comprehensive reading and transcription of the entire corpus. Thus, after lessons in both traditional and digital palaeography, the Mooc students were invited to begin their transcription activities through automated processing, using the M1 model, developed in Brazil between 2019 and 2022. This process brought two major advantages: the Wiki ecosystem enabled collective intervention with validation controls, ensuring the quality of the final transcription, and the use of Transkribus accelerated the overall workflow.@en
                    [1] => Esta comunicação pretende apresentar o exemplo prático do uso de transcritores automáticos de textos baseados em Inteligência Artificial como auxiliares prévios das atividades de transcrição colaborativa de manuscritos históricos realizadas durante o Mooc Paleografia na Rede Wiki, curso promovido, em 2024, pelo Wiki Movimento Brasil (WMB) em parceria com o Arquivo Público do Estado da Bahia (APEB). Durante o curso, realizado na Wikiversidade, foi utilizada a plataforma Transkribus inserida na WikiSource como passo inicial para as transcrições de documentos referentes à Revolta dos Malês, o mais importante levante de escravizados africanos que ocorreu na Bahia, Brasil, em 1835. Os documentos, de grande relevância para o APEB, careciam de descrições mais detalhadas no seu banco de dados, o que só seria possível com a leitura e a transcrição do conjunto documental. Assim, os alunos do Mooc, depois dos ensinamentos referentes à Paleografia tradicional e à Paleografia Digital, foram convidados a iniciar as atividades de transcrições pelo processo automatizado, utilizando o modelo M1, produzido no Brasil de 2019 a 2022. O processo apresentou duas vantagens: o ecossistema Wiki possibilita a intervenção coletiva com controles de validação o que garantiu a qualidade da transcrição final, e a utilização do Transkribus deu celeridade ao trabalho.@pt
