                                            [0] => The school library has the function of acting as an auxiliary instrument of the school for the exceptional academic development of the students, their habit of reading and their information literacy. Through the history of the creation of school libraries in Brazil, of the librarians and the identification of the Brazilian law that concerns them, this article seeks to answer the importance of the pedagogical role of the librarian in the academic training of students. Seeking to illustrate how the school library can make a difference in the learning development and the promotion of the information literacy at the young students, it was chosen to describe the case known as Study of Ohio, analyzed by the teacher Bernadete Campello on her book “Biblioteca escolar: conhecimentos que sustentam a prática”.
                                            [1] => A biblioteca escolar tem a função de atuar como instrumento auxiliador da escola para o bom desenvolvimento acadêmico dos alunos, de seu hábito de leitura e de sua competência e letramento informacional. Por meio da historicização da criação das bibliotecas escolares no Brasil, dos bibliotecários e da identificação da legislação brasileira que lhe diz respeito, este artigo busca responder a importância do papel pedagógico do bibliotecário na formação acadêmica dos alunos. Para ilustrar como a biblioteca escolar pode fazer a diferença no desenvolvimento da aprendizagem e da promoção da competência em informação dos jovens estudantes, optou-se por descrever o caso conhecido como O Estudo de Ohio, analisado pela professora Bernadete Campello em seu livro “Biblioteca escolar: conhecimentos que sustentam a prática”.
