                                            [0] => The Brazilian military dictatorship (1964-1985) did not limit itself to censoring books. Often, in addition to censorship, it also repressed the publication and circulation of works that would in any way attempt against the regime or the moral values defended by it. Thus, we decided to collect the memories of a publisher and bookseller who suffered such repression, being even arrested for having published a work considered “subversive”. This is AníbalBragança, now a retired professor at UFF and former owner of Diálogo, a famous bookstore and publisher in Niterói (RJ) in the 1960s. This article analyzes the testimony he gave us.

                                            [1] => A ditadura militar brasileira (1964-1985) não se limitou a censurar os livros. Muitas vezes, além da censura, ela também reprimiu a publicação e a circulação de obras que de alguma forma atentassem contra o regime ou contra os valores morais defendidos por ela. Assim, decidimos recolher as memórias de um editor e livreiro que sofreu tal repressão, sendo inclusive detido por ter publicado uma obra tida como “subversiva”. Trata-se de Aníbal Bragança, hoje professor aposentado da UFF e ex-dono da Diálogo, célebre livraria e editora de Niterói (RJ) nos anos 1960. Este artigo analisa o depoimento que ele nos concedeu.
