                    [0] => The Victor Meirelles Museum (MVM), a unit of the Brazilian Institute of Museums (Ibram), is an art museum that houses works from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries, and is located in the house where the artist from Santa Catarina was born. The historic building, a typical Luso-Brazilian construction built between the end of the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th century, underwent different renovation and restoration interventions. In the architectural interventions of 2001 and 2016, the archaeological research generated two collections, one of which is in the process of being incorporated by the Victor Meirelles Museum. The purpose of this article is to discuss the challenges of receiving an archaeological collection in an art museum, based on the institutional documents for the management of the MVM collection. It is understood, based on the analyzed elements, that the incorporation of the collection into the Museum´s collection is configured as a paradigm shift, as it involves a significant reformulation of institutional guidelines, being, however, an acquisition of expressive potential for the Museum , mainly within the scope of Educational and Cultural, Research and Exhibitions Programmes.@en
                    [1] => O Museu Victor Meirelles (MVM), unidade do Instituto Brasileiro de Museus (Ibram), é um museu de arte que salvaguarda obras do século XIX, XX e XXI, e localiza-se na casa onde teria nascido o artista catarinense. A edificação histórica, um sobrado típico luso-brasileiro construído entre o final do século XVIII e o início do século XIX, já passou por diferentes intervenções de reforma e restauro. Nas intervenções arquitetônicas de 2001 e 2016, as pesquisas arqueológicas geraram duas coleções, e uma delas atualmente está em processo de incorporação pelo Museu Victor Meirelles. O objetivo desse artigo, assim, é discutir os desafios do recebimento de uma coleção arqueológica em um museu de arte, a partir dos documentos institucionais de gestão de acervo do MVM. Compreende-se, a partir dos elementos analisados, que a incorporação da coleção ao acervo do Museu se configura como uma mudança de paradigma, pois envolve a reformulação significativa das diretrizes institucionais, sendo, no entanto, uma aquisição de expressivo potencial para o Museu, principalmente no âmbito dos Programas Educativo e Cultural, de Pesquisa e de Exposições.@pt
