                    [0] => This article starts from a reflection that began in 2018 as a master´s thesis on acquisition policy as a fundamental instrument in the management of museum collections. The discussion has as case study the Cabinet of Prints of the National Museum of Fine Arts. It is a successful example of how the establishment of clear selection criteria, based on an active posture of "collecting", allows a collection to grow in a way linked to the institutional mission and lines of research, at the same time in which it emphasizes the importance of a well-structured documentation to support the actions of incorporation of new objects. Although the analyzed case has not been formalized in an institutional policy, the examination of these actions can sensitize museum managers and professionals when planning and implementing acquisition policies in their institutions as part of the collections management and organization.

                    [1] => Este artigo parte de uma reflexão, iniciada em 2018 como dissertação de mestrado, sobre política de aquisição como instrumento fundamental na gestão de acervos museológicos. A discussão tem como estudo de caso o Gabinete de Gravura, do Museu Nacional de Belas Artes. Trata-se de um exemplo bem sucedido de como o estabelecimento de critérios claros de seleção, a partir de uma postura ativa de "coleta" de itens, possibilita que uma coleção cresça de maneira atrelada à missão e às linhas de pesquisa institucionais, ao mesmo tempo em que enfatiza a importância de uma documentação museológica bem estruturada para embasar as ações de incorporação de novos objetos. Embora o caso analisado não tenha sido formalizado em uma política institucional, o exame das ações realizadas pode sensibilizar gestores e profissionais de museus ao planejar e implementar políticas de aquisição em suas instituições como parte das atividades de gestão e organização de acervos.@pt
