                                            [0] => Understanding that museums can also be places for mobilization and confrontation of memories which lead us to stories that’re marked by serious human rights violations, we propose to analyze the long-term exhibition at the São São Paulo’s State Immigration Museum considering on such questions: being the process of migration in Brazil historically marked by a countless number of violence, the discourse produced and broadcast by the São Paulo’s State Immigration Museum puts it inside or outside of the traumatic memory's place category? The institution presents to the public a discourse about the history and memory of immigration in São Paulo through axes such as the development of the cosmopolitan metropolis and the creation of a pluricultural national identity, already present at extinct Memorial do Imigrante's long term exhibition but, how are the memories of violence and trauma articulated at this new narrative?
                                            [1] => Compreendendo que os museus podem ser, também, lugares de mobilização e enfrentamento de memórias que nos remetem a histórias marcadas por graves violações de direitos humanos, propomos analisar a exposição de longa duração do Museu da Imigração do Estado de São Paulo a partir de tais questionamentos: Sendo o processo de migração no Brasil marcado historicamente por um sem número de violências, o discurso produzido e veiculado pelo Museu o coloca dentro ou fora da categoria de lugar de memória traumática? A instituição apresenta ao público um discurso sobre a história e memória da imigração em São Paulo a partir de eixos como o desenvolvimento da metrópole cosmopolita e a criação de uma identidade nacional pluricultural, já presentes na exposição permanente do extinto Memorial do Imigrante, mas como estão articuladas as memórias de violência e trauma nesta nova narrativa?
