It presents brain research, exploring memory as faculty and phenomenon. Discusses the concept of collective memory, suggesting a reflection of notion of sharing and emphasizes the forgetting in the memory process. Proposes a reflection about memory statusin the network age and recognizes the overabundance of information that characterizes the contemporary time, where the network sometimes is seen as a potential for collective and collaborative knowledge building, and sometimes is seen as a risk, may become the era of forgetfulness.@en
                    [1] => Este artigo realiza revisão de literatura sobre a temática da memória e seus complexos processos de seleção, armazenamento e evocação, que influem, a nível individual e coletivo, na construção das identidades. Apresenta pesquisas sobre o cérebro explorando a memória como faculdade e fenômeno. Problematiza o conceito de memória coletiva, sugerindo reflexão à noção de compartilhamento e salienta o papel do esquecimento nos processos mnemônicos. Considera o estatuto da memória na era das redes e reconhece a superabundância de informações que caracteriza a contemporaneidade, onde a rede ora é vista como potência à construção colaborativa do conhecimento, ora é vista como risco, podendo vir a tornar-se a era do esquecimento.@pt
