                    [0] => In the context of the 2030 Agenda, libraries and librarians can do a lot to contribute to the social development of nations by carrying out projects aimed at breaking down barriers to accessing information. In these actions, the service to people inserted in contexts of social vulnerability or who have some type of special need, such as visually impaired individuals, stands out. This article addresses this context, when presenting the Sala Braille Project of the Public Library of Lagoa Santa, State of Minas Gerais. The referred Project is managed with the purpose of assisting the visually impaired people of this municipality, with a view to rescuing / inserting these people into social life. In addition to a brief theoretical framework on accessibility in libraries, the study reports the context of creation, the intended purposes, the resources spent and the activities carried out with the aforementioned Project. The results achieved with the Project reinforce that the library has been adapting to the theme of social inclusion, in order to guarantee the sustainable development of nations. It was concluded about the Project´s viability, mainly, the role of the librarian, in this process, in an attempt to serve this part of the population, in order to guarantee the democratization of access to information for all.@en
                    [1] => No contexto da Agenda 2030, bibliotecas e bibliotecários muito podem contribuir para o desenvolvimento social das nações ao realizarem projetos que visem à ruptura de barreiras no acesso à informação. Destaca-se, nessas ações, o atendimento a pessoas inseridas em contextos de vulnerabilidade social ou que apresentam algum tipo de necessidade especial, como os indivíduos com deficiências visuais. O presente artigo aborda este contexto, ao apresentar o Projeto Sala Braille da Biblioteca Pública de Lagoa Santa, Estado de Minas Gerais. O referido Projeto é gerenciado com o propósito de atender as pessoas com deficiências visuais desse município, haja vista resgatar/inserir essas pessoas no convívio social. Além de breve referencial teórico sobre acessibilidade em bibliotecas, o estudo relata o contexto de criação, os propósito almejados, os recursos despendidos e as atividades realizadas com o citado Projeto. Os resultados alcançados com o Projeto reforçam que a biblioteca vem se adequando ao tema da inclusão social, para fins de garantir o desenvolvimento sustentável das nações. Concluiu-se acerca da viabilidade do Projeto, principalmente, o papel do bibliotecário, nesse processo, o qual precisa ter espírito inovador para garantir a democratização do acesso à informação para todos.@pt
