                                            [0] => Institutional representatives of Information Science in Brazil are related to different areas of scientific knowledge and can characterize different backgrounds that, consequently, allow influences on the current profile of this science. It aims to analyze the academic degree/title of institutional representatives of Information Science in Brazil with a view to understanding the current disciplinary profile of the area, through a descriptive research, starting from a documentary analysis carried out in the web environment. It uses the documents that regulate the Postgraduate Programs in Information Science arranged in the Sucupira Platform of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel, the Lattes Curricula of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development and, also on Program websites as sources for data collection. It identifies a total of 36 institutional representatives of Information Science in Brazil. As a result, it points out the areas of Library Science, History, Archival, Computer Science and Administration, Communication and Sociology as more incidents about the area of training / qualification of representatives. It concludes that Information Science has appropriated in its origin and, currently, concepts, methods and techniques from other areas for the solution of problems that are pertinent to it, being, thus, a juxtaposition of knowledge, being characterized, in this research clipping, as a multidisciplinary science.
                                            [1] => Os representantes institucionais da Ciência da Informação no Brasil estão relacionados com diferentes áreas de conhecimento científico e podem caracterizar formações distintas que, consequentemente, possibilitam influências no atual perfil desta Ciência. Objetiva analisar a formação acadêmica/titulação dos representantes institucionais da Ciência da Informação no Brasil com vistas à compreensão do atual perfil disciplinar da área, por meio de uma pesquisa descritiva, partindo de uma análise documental realizada no ambiente da web. Utiliza como fontes de coleta dos dados, os documentos que regulamentam os Programas de Pós-Graduação em Ciência da Informação dispostos na Plataforma Sucupira da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Ensino Superior, os Currículos Lattes do Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico e, também, em sites dos Programas. Identifica um total de 36 representantes institucionais da Ciência da Informação no Brasil. Aponta como resultado as áreas de Biblioteconomia, História, Arquivologia, Ciência da Computação e Administração, Comunicação e Sociologia como mais incidentes no que se refere à área de formação/titulação dos representantes. Conclui que a Ciência da Informação se apropriou em sua origem e, atualmente, de conceitos, métodos e técnicas de outras áreas para a solução de problemas que lhe são pertinentes, sendo deste modo, uma justaposição de saberes, se caracterizando, neste recorte de pesquisa, como uma ciência pluridisciplinar.
