                    [0] => University libraries with their long history have a strong connection with memory. In addition to preserving the records produced at universities, these libraries are also producing memories, as they carry out their processes either in the development of collections, in the administration of resources or in the management of people. The way these institutions develop their work establishes routines, creates habits, generates information and produces documents, which gives them legitimacy and recognition as an institution within society. The preservation of institutional memory, embodied in these documents that can be either archival documents, books, or even important equipment in the history of the library, is necessary, since it is from them that libraries can know their history, rediscover their memory and establish goals for the future.@en
                    [1] => As bibliotecas universitárias com sua longa trajetória têm forte ligação com a memória. Mais que preservar os registros produzidos nas universidades, essas bibliotecas são também produtoras de memórias, na medida em que desempenham seus processos seja no desenvolvimento de acervos, na administração de recursos ou na gestão de pessoas. A maneira como essas instituições desenvolvem seus trabalhos estabelece rotinas, cria hábitos, gera informações e produz documentos, o que lhes confere legitimidade e reconhecimento como instituição frente à sociedade. A preservação da memória institucional, consubstanciada nesses documentos que podem ser tanto documentos de arquivos, livros, ou mesmo equipamentos importantes na história da biblioteca, se faz necessária, pois é a partir deles que as bibliotecas poderão conhecer sua história, redescobrir sua memória e estabelecer metas para o futuro.@pt
