                                            [1] => Parte do pressuposto de que é relevante indicar, desde cedo, o universo da leitura à criança. Mostra que a prática de leitura faz parte do cotidiano humano e que é uma das maneiras de adquirir, produzir, organizar, usar e transmitir conhecimento. Considerando esses pressupostos tem como objetivo explorar as dificuldades relacionadas às práticas de incentivo a leitura em bibliotecas escolares. Para isso, realiza uma revisão bibliográfica e um debate teórico. Identifica, analisa e explora os hábitos da leitura, o papel da biblioteca escolar e o processo de mediação que pode estimular na formação de crianças leitoras. Conclui que a biblioteca escolar é um mecanismo pedagógico e mediador essencial para incentivar o hábito de leitura nas escolas, por meio de atividades de prática leitoras, contribuindo para o desenvolvimento cognitivo do aluno
