                                            [0] => The knowledge produced in Master's and Ph.D. is recorded in theses and dissertations produced by the student body. Several surveys conducted in the areas of Humanities and Social are funded with public money, assuming the authors of the work committed to making public their production to society. Among the available means of disseminating academic production, the Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações (BDTD) is an initiative of aggregating knowledge, providing the information in one place, making it easier for users to find the desired information. With this objective, we sought to examine the contribution of BDTD the areas of humanities and social dissemination of the knowledge produced at the Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), the local and national level, given the higher profile gained through Brazilian BDTD. Evidenced the need for greater proximity between the library and the coordination graduate, for the maintenance and development of BDTD - UFF as well as a greater awareness of the authors of workers them to him about the importance of BDTD to the spread of knowledge produced.
                                            [1] => O conhecimento produzido nos cursos de mestrado e doutorado está registrado nas teses e dissertações produzidas pelo corpo discente. Várias pesquisas realizadas nas áreas de Humanas e Sociais são financiadas com verba pública, assumindo os autores dos trabalhos o compromisso de tornar pública a sua produção para a sociedade. Dentre os meios disponíveis de divulgação da produção acadêmica, a Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertação (BDTD) é uma iniciativa agregadora do conhecimento, disponibilizando a informação num único lugar, facilitando ao usuário encontrar a informação desejada. Com esse objetivo, buscou-se analisar a contribuição da BDTD das áreas de Humanas e Sociais na disseminação do conhecimento produzido na Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), no âmbito local e nacional, dada a maior visibilidade dos trabalhos. Evidenciou-se a necessidade de maior proximidade entre a biblioteca e as coordenações de pós-graduação, para a manutenção e desenvolvimento da BDTD - UFF, bem como uma maior conscientização dos autores dos trabalhos sobre a importância da BDTD para a disseminação do conhecimento produzido. Indicou-se a adoção de uma política mandatória para depósitos dos trabalhos defendidos na instituição.
