                    [0] => The article aims to present the RSS technology as an option to minimize the problem of information overload and facilitate the organization and dissemination of content on the Web starts with a brief history on the evolution of new information technologies and communication. Reflects on the information overload caused by the advance of scientific and technological communication and the mass production of knowledge. Discusses the process of selective dissemination of information as an important factor in web development, and presents technology as an RSS aggregator and facilitator, which selects for the web user, only the information of interest. List the major sites in the area of Information Science and Librarianship offering RSS technology, including magazines, blogs and institutions. I conclude by  emphasizing the importance of the availability of RSS feed sites in institutions, databases and digital repositories, especially for users familiar with this type of tool and have access to information of interest to you as soon as they are made available on the web@en
                    [1] => O artigo tem como objetivo, apresentar a tecnologia RSS como uma opção para minimizar o problema do excesso de informação e facilitar a organização e disseminação de conteúdo na Web.  Inicia com um pequeno histórico sobre a evolução das novas tecnologias de informação e comunicação. Realiza uma reflexão sobre o excesso de informação provocado pelo avanço da comunicação científica e tecnológica e pela grande produção de conhecimento. Aborda o processo de disseminação seletiva de informação como fator importante no desenvolvimento da web, e apresenta a tecnologia RSS como um agregador e facilitador, que seleciona para o usuário da web, somente as informações de interesse. Lista os principais sites no campo da Ciência da Informação e Biblioteconomia que oferecem a tecnologia RSS, incluindo revistas, blogs e instituições. Conclui salientando a importância da disponibilização dos feed RSS nos sites de instituições, bases de dados e repositórios digitais, principalmente para que os usuários conheçam esse tipo de ferramenta e tenham acesso as informações de seu interesse tão logo elas sejam colocadas a disposição na web.@pt
