This article aims to address the importance of knowledge organization in archives through the thematic and descriptive representation of documents, as a fundamental practice for creating products and services that improve document management and facilitate information retrieval, supporting decision-making processes. It highlights how information technologies have influenced organizational dynamics, driving the need for more efficient information products and services. The article explores the relationship between information services and products in archives and discusses how they complement each other to meet the informational demands of internal and external users. Through a qualitative bibliographic review, it argues that the representation of archival information enhances the efficiency of document management processes and concludes by emphasizing the need for greater recognition of archival products and services within organizational environments, especially through the use of technology.

                    [1] => Aborda a importância da organização do conhecimento nos arquivos a partir da representação temática e descritiva dos documentos, como prática fundamental para criar produtos e serviços que melhora, a gestão documental e facilita a recuperação da informação e apoia tomadas de decisões. Destaca como as tecnologias da informação têm influenciado as dinâmicas organizacionais, impulsionando a necessidade de produtos e serviços de informação mais eficiente. Explora a relação entre serviços e produtos de informação nos arquivos e discute como eles complementam-se para atender às demandas informacionais de usuários internos e externos. E, por meio de uma revisão bibliográfica de natureza qualitativa, defende que a representação da informação arquivística potencializa a eficiência dos processos de gestão documental e conclui ressaltando a necessidade de maior valorização dos produtos e serviços arquivísticos no ambiente organizacional espacialmente com o uso das tecnologias.@pt
