                                            [0] => Citizen Science (CS) is an approach to scientific work and is part of the Open Science movement. The aBEIRAr project is a CS partnership for the valorisation of the territory that was born in 2021 from the intersection of common objectives between the Intermunicipal Network of Libraries of Beiras and Serra da Estrela (RIBBSE), the Open Science Platform of the Municipality of Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, the UNESCO World Geopark Estrela and the University of Beira Interior. The aim of this article is to analyse the perceived impact on the Beiras and Serra da Estrela community of the aBEIRAr citizen science partnership project. The study was carried out using documentary research, an interview and a survey. The results offer new insights into the opportunities and challenges of implementing CS initiatives and projects in partnership with public libraries.
                                            [1] => A Ciência Cidadã (CC) é uma abordagem ao trabalho científico e faz parte do movimento da Ciência Aberta. O projeto aBEIRAr é uma parceria de CC para a valorização do território que nasceu em 2021 do cruzar de objetivos comuns entre a Rede Intermunicipal de Bibliotecas das Beiras e Serra da Estrela (RIBBSE), a Plataforma de Ciência Aberta do Município de Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, o Estrela Geopark Mundial da UNESCO e a Universidade da Beira Interior. Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar a perceção do impacto na comunidade das Beiras e Serra da Estrela do projeto de parceria de CC, aBEIRAr. O estudo concretizou-se mediante pesquisa documental, entrevista e inquérito por questionário. Os resultados oferecem novos conhecimentos sobre as oportunidades e os desafios da implementação de iniciativas e projetos de CC em parceria com as bibliotecas públicas.
