                                            [0] => Recently, in Mexico, initiatives including LGBT+ individuals in public libraries have emerged; however, these activities are far from providing data about this community, which has been studied scantly in the Mexican library field. For this reason, the objective is to show the results of the study conducted in the central public libraries of Mexico through the exposition of 48 topics on sexual diversity and their existence in their catalogues and inventories. The study undertakes a questionnaire sent to 32 central public libraries and consultation to the National Transparency Platform [Plataforma Nacional de Transparencia] of the Federal Government. The results show that only one library has 22 of 24 topics; contrastingly, 10 federated states only have between 1 and 6 themes. Likewise, this study displays omissions in the development of collections carried out by the General Directorate of Libraries [Dirección General de Bibliotecas] on topics such as International LGBT Pride Day, drag queen, same-sex marriage, transphobia, lesbophobia, transfeminism, among others; these last three do not exist in the libraries network. It is worth mentioning that this study is the first of its kind in Mexico and Latin America.
                                            [1] => Durante los últimos años, en México han surgido iniciativas que incluyen a las personas LGBT+ en las bibliotecas públicas; sin embargo, estas actividades están lejos de aportar datos sobre esta comunidad, la cual ha sido poco estudiada en el ámbito bibliotecario mexicano. Por este motivo se realizó el presente artículo, cuyo objetivo es mostrar los resultados del estudio realizado en las bibliotecas públicas centrales de México, y a través del cual se exponen 48 temas sobre diversidad sexual y su disponibilidad en sus catálogos e inventarios. El estudio se realizó por medio de un cuestionario enviado a 32 bibliotecas públicas centrales, así como a través de la Plataforma Nacional de Transparencia del Gobierno federal. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que solamente una biblioteca posee 22 de 24 temas; mientras que, en contraste, 10 estados federativos solo poseen entre 1 y 6 temas. También, se señalan las omisiones en el desarrollo de colecciones realizadas por la Dirección General de Bibliotecas en temas relacionados al Día Internacional del Orgullo LGBT, drag queen, matrimonio igualitario, transfobia, lesbofobia, transfeminismo, entre otros; estos tres últimos temas no existen en las bibliotecas de la red. Cabe mencionar que este estudio es el primero en su tipo en México y América Latina.
