[0] => The objective is to analyze national and international scientific publications on practices carried out in school libraries during the COVID-19 pandemic, between the years 2020 and 2021. This is a qualitative, bibliographic research, based on a systematic literature review and analysis of articles on the subject. The bibliographic material was collected from the following databases: Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD), Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO), Reference Database of Journal Articles in Information Science (BRAPCI), Database of Journal Articles in Education, Librarianship, Information Science and related fields (EDUBASE), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), and the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) database. Searches were conducted using Portuguese and English terms related to the topics of libraries, school libraries, and the pandemic, applying the Boolean operators AND and OR. The results indicate that school libraries, during the pandemic context, faced challenges (budget cuts, lack of resources and technological skills, social inequalities), but also found ways to adapt (live broadcasts, book lending, printing and distributing activities in person, project development, guidance on information sources, and recommendations for online books), thus continuing to fulfill their roles as information units, both nationally and internationally. The article, therefore, highlights the importance of school libraries through practices that, despite contextual obstacles, enabled them to maintain their activities, fulfill their mission, and prove to be essential during the pandemic period.@en
