                    [0] => Libraries are transforming in the Digital Age, evolving from custodians and managers of collections to spaces of interaction and creation. With the rise of the maker movement, there is a growing integration of makerspaces in libraries, redefining their role beyond the passive dissemination of information. The research problem asks how can makerspaces foster innovation in libraries? The hypothesis is that the implementation of makerspaces in libraries increases community participation and stimulates innovation in the services offered. The general objective of this research was to demonstrate makerspaces as an innovative solution for libraries, while the specific objectives include contextualizing the historical evolution of libraries and their typologies, describing their transformations in the 21st century, exploring the maker movement and its relevance globally and in Brazil. The methodology includes a literature review on librarianship, innovation and the maker movement, as well as a comparative study of three libraries (Brazil and the United States). Qualitative data will be analyzed to assess the impact of makerspaces on libraries. The structure of the work is divided into seven sections: Introduction; Transformations of libraries in the 21st century: adapting to new informational demands; Innovations and transformations in libraries in the 21st century; The maker movement and makerspaces in libraries: an overview in Brazil and the United States; Methodology; Results and Discussions, and Final considerations. This work aims to document the integration of makerspaces in libraries and propose future directions to keep these institutions relevant and vibrant in the digital and collaborative world.@en
                    [1] => As bibliotecas estão sendo transformadas pela Era Digital, evoluindo de guardiãs e gestoras de coleções para espaços de interação e criação. Com a ascensão do movimento maker, há uma crescente integração de makerspaces nas bibliotecas, redefinindo seu papel além da disseminação passiva de informação. O problema da pesquisa questiona de que maneira os makerspaces podem favorecer a inovação nas bibliotecas? Como hipótese apresenta-se que a implementação de makerspaces nas bibliotecas aumenta a participação comunitária e estimula a inovação nos serviços oferecidos. O objetivo geral desta pesquisa foi demonstrar os makerspaces como uma solução inovadora para as bibliotecas, enquanto os objetivos específicos incluem contextualizar a evolução histórica das bibliotecas e suas tipologias, descrever suas transformações no século XXI, explorar o movimento maker e sua relevância global e no Brasil. A metodologia inclui revisão bibliográfica sobre biblioteconomia, inovação e movimento maker, além de um estudo comparativo de três bibliotecas (Brasil e Estados Unidos). Serão analisados dados qualitativos para avaliar o impacto dos makerspaces nas bibliotecas. A estrutura do trabalho está dividida em sete seções: Introdução; Transformações das bibliotecas no Século XXI: adaptação às novas demandas informacionais; inovações e transformações nas bibliotecas do Século XXI; O movimento maker e makerspaces nas bibliotecas: um panorama no Brasil e nos Estados Unidos; Metodologia; Resultados e Discussões, e Considerações finais. A pesquisa confirmou que os makerspaces fortalecem a inovação e a participação comunitária nas bibliotecas, tornando-as centros dinâmicos de criação.
