                                            [0] => Background: University Libraries (BUs) have produced, assimilated and reproduced new forms of products and services, as the BU, in addition to the contribution of teaching, research and extension, has become a place of social and cultural effervescence. The actions, projects and events developed by BU give individuals access to the most diverse existing knowledge. Through these cultural actions, BU comes to be understood as a fundamental instrument of sociocultural transformation.
Purpose: This research aims to demonstrate how BU's cultural actions contribute to the learning of its users, with the maxim that the more products and services available, the greater society's access to education and cultural goods and services.
Methodology: The methodology of this research was through bibliographical, exploratory and qualitative research.
Results: As a result, it was possible to perceive the relevance of cultural actions at BU.
Conclusion: With the new tasks of librarians, new perspectives of effective access to research, reading and cultural goods arise.
                                            [1] => Introdução: As Bibliotecas Universitarias (BUs) tem produzido, assimilado e reproduzido novas formas de produtos e serviços, pois a BU além da contribuição do ensino, pesquisa e extensão passam a serem locais de efervescência social e cultural. As ações, projetos e eventos desenvolvidos pela BU geram nos indivíduos o acesso aos mais diversos saberes existentes. Por meio destas ações culturais, a BU passa a ser compreendida como instrumento fundamental de transformações socioculturais.
Objetivo: Esta pesquisa objetiva demonstrar como as ações culturais da BU contribuem para o aprendizado dos seus usuários, tendo a máxima de que quanto mais produtos e serviços disponibilizados, maior será o acesso da sociedade a educação e aos bens e serviços culturais.
Metodologia: A metodologia dessa pesquisa foi através de pesquisa bibliográfica, exploratória e qualitativa.
Resultados: Como resultado foi possível perceber a relevância das ações culturais na BU.
Conclusões: Com os novos afazeres dos bibliotecários surgem novas perspectivas de acesso efetivo a pesquisa, leitura e aos bens culturais.
