                    [0] => The work addresses the theme of rural libraries in the bibliographic scenario of Brazilian information sources. Given the contextual problem of the difficulty of inserting libraries in rural areas and the challenges of rural communities in obtaining access to qualified information, this research is justified by the social relevance of libraries for the sustainable development of rural communities and the low rate of studies on of the topic in Brazil. The starting question is: how are rural libraries represented in Brazilian bibliographic information sources? The general objective of the research is to analyze the bibliography in the area of ​​Library Science and Information Science about rural libraries. The specific objectives are: i) to map the bibliographic presence of studies on rural libraries in Brazilian Library Science and Information Science databases; ii) portray how rural libraries are bibliographically represented by studies in the area; iii) identify the defining characteristics of rural libraries in the literature; iv) describe the profile of users and informational needs highlighted in the literature on rural libraries. The theoretical framework is organized into three moments: i) the social conditions of existence for the formation of rural libraries, ii) characteristics of rural libraries and iii) users in rural libraries and their needs. Qualitative research critically analyzes the bibliography on rural libraries in specialized databases using the term “rural library”. The scarcity of literature and rural libraries stands out, as well as public policies. Most rural libraries come from community initiatives and partnerships for sustainable development.@en
                    [1] => O trabalho aborda o tema das bibliotecas rurais no cenário bibliográfico das fontes informacionais brasileiras. Perante a problemática contextual da dificuldade de inserção das bibliotecas em zonas rurais e dos desafios das comunidades rurais em obter acesso à informação qualificada, essa pesquisa justifica-se pela relevância social das bibliotecas para o desenvolvimento sustentável das comunidades rurais e pelo baixo índice de estudos acerca da temática no Brasil. A pergunta de partida é: como as bibliotecas rurais estão representadas nas fontes de informação bibliográficas brasileiras? O objetivo geral da pesquisa é analisar a bibliografia da área da Biblioteconomia e da Ciência da Informação sobre bibliotecas rurais. Os objetivos específicos são: i) mapear a presença bibliográfica de estudos sobre bibliotecas rurais nas bases de dados da Biblioteconomia e Ciência da Informação brasileiras; ii) retratar como as bibliotecas rurais são representadas bibliograficamente pelos estudos da área; iii) identificar na literatura as características definidoras das bibliotecas rurais; iv) descrever o perfil dos usuários e das necessidades informacionais apontadas na literatura sobre as bibliotecas rurais. O referencial teórico está organizado em três momentos: i) as condições sociais de existência para a formação das bibliotecas rurais, ii) características das bibliotecas rurais e iii) usuários em bibliotecas rurais e suas necessidades. A pesquisa qualitativa analisa criticamente a bibliografia sobre bibliotecas rurais em bases especializadas a partir do termo “biblioteca rural”. Destaca-se a escassez de literatura e bibliotecas rurais, assim como políticas públicas. A maioria das bibliotecas rurais são oriundas de iniciativas comunitárias e parcerias para o desenvolvimento sustentável.@pt
