                                            [0] =>  Durante su estancia académica en la Universidad de Texas, en Austin, la autora realizó una cuidadosa revisión de varias publicaciones texanas en la Colección Nettie Lee Benson, que tratan sobre diversos hechos históricos de la política mexicana revolucionaria y posrevolucionaria (el efímero gobierno de Madero, la usurpación huertista, hasta el triunfo y asesinato de Venustiano Carranza). Al triunfo de la Revolución, un buen número de mexicanos salieron del país, estableciéndose en algunas poblaciones texanas, principalmente en El Paso y San Antonio, donde formaron grupos políticos que externaron sus opiniones en publicaciones—casi todas editadas en español— como el semanario El Regidor(1888-1916) y los diarios La República (1918-1929) y La Patria (1919-1924). 
                                            [1] =>  During her academic stay in Texas University at Austin, the author performed an exhaustive review of several Texan publications from the Nettie-Lee Benson collection, regarding several facts of Mexican revolutionary politics and post-revolutionary politics (Madero´s brief government, Huerta´s encroachment and the triumph and murder of Venustiano Carranza). When the revolution succeeded, a great number of Mexicans fled the country and established on Texan territory, mainly in El Paso and San Antonio, where they formed political groups, letting their opinions be known through publications —almost all edited in Spanish— as El Semanario, El Regidor (1888-1916) and the newspapers La República (1918-1929) and La Patria (1919-1924).
