                                            [0] =>  In 1828, along with Mexico’s Indepndence, a number of creole writers were summoned for theatrical play contest in Puebla City. The aim of the competition was praising the historical fugure of a rebel Tlaxcalteca general: Xicoténcaltl The Young. Three plyawrights showed to compete: José María Moreno Buenvecino, who submitted Xicoténcaltl: tragedy in five acts; Ignacio Torres Arroyo presented Teutila a similar play also in five acts, and José María Menegino, who staged Xicoténcatl, and horoic comedy in four acts. 
                                            [1] =>  En 1828, a raíz de la Independencia de México, en la ciudad de Puebla se convocó a los escritores criollos a un concurso teatral para enaltecer la figura histórica del general tlaxcalteca rebelde Xicoténcatl El Joven. Los tres dramaturgos que acudieron a la convocatoria para competir en el concurso poblano fueron: José María Moreno Buenvecino, quien presentóXicohténcatl, tragedia en cinco actos; Ignacio Torres Arrollo con Teutila, obra de corte similar en cinco actos, y José María Mangino, que puso en la escena Xicotencatl, comedia heroica en cuatro actos.
