                                            [0] => This article aims to investigate the dominant cultural models of masculinity in modern society as legitimized by the field of soap operas, specifically in "Terra e Paixão" with the characters Ramiro (played by Amaury Lourenzo) and Kelvin (played by Diego Martins). From this perspective, we adopt the theoretical framework of multimodal metaphor proposed by Forceville (2009) and Sperandio (2015) to analyze how, through cognitive processes, we signify, interpret, and represent the world through metaphors. For the composition of the analysis corpus, we selected four excerpts from the dialogic interactions between the characters, including two that further delineate the construction of Ramiro’s masculinity and a caricatural approach to Kelvin. The third scene refers to a change in treatment, where, finally, the writer Walcyr Carrasco, due to significant positive public response, shows the couple assuming their relationship in a less stigmatized manner. Lastly, in the final chapter of the soap opera, these characteristics are blended in the wedding scene at the couple’s prison.
                                            [1] => O artigo tem como objetivo investigar os modelos culturais masculinos dominantes na sociedade moderna e legitimados pelo campo das telenovelas, mais precisamente em Terra e Paixão com os personagens Ramiro (interpretado por Amaury Lourenzo) e Kelvin (interpretado por Diego Martins). Nessa perspectiva, adotamos o quadro teórico da metáfora multimodal proposta por Forceville (2009) e Sperandio (2015) para analisar como, pelo processo cognitivo, significamos, interpretamos e representamos o mundo pelas metáforas. Para composição do corpus de análise, escolhemos quatro recortes nas interações dialógicas entre os personagens, sendo duas que demarcam ainda uma construção da masculinidade de Ramiro e uma abordagem caricatural de Kelvin. A terceira cena refere-se a uma mudança de tratamento, em que, finalmente, o autor Walcyr Carrasco até por grande repercussão positiva junto ao público mostra o casal assumindo o relacionamento de uma forma menos estigmatizada. Por fim, no capítulo final da novela, quando se misturam tais características na cena de casamento no presídio do casal.
