                    [0] => In this text, some aspects of contemporary informational reality are presented and discussed, marked by the questions of post-truth and disinformation. The potential of information science to study and propose actions related to this reality is discussed, based on the three existing study models in the area: the physical, the cognitive and the social. The need is identified, based on Edgar Morin´s notion of knowledge and ignorance, to promote an advance in information science towards a veritistic dimension, as presented by Jonathan Furner. It is concluded, based on Theodor Adorno´s ideas, that the current information science needs to focus on the question of truth and combating the circulation of false information as the center of its mission.

                    [1] => Neste texto são apresentados e discutidos alguns aspectos da realidade informacional contemporânea, marcada pelas questões da pós-verdade e da desinformação. Discute-se o potencial da ciência da informação para estudar e propor ações relacionadas com essa realidade, a partir dos três modelos de estudo existentes na área: o físico, o cognitivo e o social. Identifica-se a necessidade, a partir da noção de conhecimento e ignorância de Edgar Morin, de se promover um avanço na ciência da informação em direção a uma dimensão veritística, tal como formulado por Jonathan Furner. Conclui-se, a partir das ideias de Theodor Adorno, que a ciência da informação atual precisa ter como centro de sua missão a questão da verdade e do combate à circulação de informações falsas.
