                    [0] => The object of this study is to analyze the growth patterns of the Latin American and Caribean scientific production in the magazines and its citation-based impact using allometric modeling. We analyzed 179 219 Latin American documents published from 2000 through 2017 in JCR journals that appear hosted in a Latin American country that received 233 352 citations. The citation-based impact was assessed using a three-year fix window of citation (t0 + 2). The resulting exponent was α = 0,75± 0.02, suggesting that scientific production grows faster than its impact.@en
                    [1] => El objetivo del estudio es analizar el ritmo de crecimiento de la producción científica latinoamericana y del Caribe en revistas de la región incluidas en el Journal of Citation Reports de Clarivate Analytics Web of Science y su impacto con la utilización de un modelo alométrico. Se analizaron 179 219 documentos publicados entre 2000 y 2017 que recibieron 233 352 citas. Para medir el impacto se utilizó una ventana de citaciones fija de tres años (t0 + 2).
