                    [0] => Theoretical contextualization: Competence in information is a set of skills, values and attitudes that provide the individual with conditions to deal with the excess of information, resulting from informational production that is not always true, in relation to COVID-19 disease. Objective: The purpose of this article is to elucidate a possible interrelation between information competence and the COVID-19 virus. Method: The methodological procedures are formed by a descriptive exploratory bibliographic review about information, competence in information and COVID-19, although the knowledge about this lethal virus is under construction, we tried to present the possible ways of combating and preventing it. Results: The findings indicated that partial information, misinformation and fake News are counterproductive attitudes, especially in this moment so challenging and insecure that humanity is passing. While reliable, truthful and secure information is essential in combating the new coronavirus. For this, it is urgent to believe in scientific methods and information from official bodies that deal with the subject in question. And, in addition, when the discovery of a drug or an effective vaccine that reduces the spread of the virus, it must be non-political and non-partisan, but aimed at the collective health and the common good of all beings. Conclusions: Health is a right for all, provided for in the 1988 Constitution, and access to transparent, safe and reliable information is essential and also a basic human right.

                    [1] => Contextualização teórica: A competência em informação é um conjunto de habilidades, valores e atitudes que propicia ao indivíduo condições para lidar com o excesso de informação, decorrente da produção informacional nem sempre verdadeira, em relação à doença da COVID-19. Objetivo: O presente artigo tem por finalidade elucidar, uma possível inter-relação entre a competência da informação e o vírus da COVID-19. Método: Os procedimentos metodológicos são formados por uma revisão bibliográfica descritivo exploratória acerca da informação, competência em informação e da COVID-19, ainda que, o conhecimento sobre esse vírus letal está em construção, buscou-se apresentar as possíveis formas de combate e prevenção. Resultados: Os achados indicaram que, informações parciais, desinformação e fake News são atitudes contraproducentes, principalmente neste momento tão desafiador e inseguro que passa a humanidade. Ao passo que informações fidedignas, verídicas e seguras são fundamentais no combate ao Novo Coronavírus. Para tanto, urge acreditar nos métodos científicos e nas informações advindas dos órgãos oficiais que tratam do assunto em questão. E, para além disso, quando da descoberta de um medicamento ou uma vacina eficaz que diminua o contágio do vírus, esta deve ser apolítica e apartidária, mas sim visando a saúde coletiva e o bem comum de todos os seres. Conclusões: A saúde é um direito de todos, previsto na Constituição de 1988, bem como o acesso a informação transparente, segura e confiável é essencial e também um direito básico humano.
