                    [0] => This paper presents an analytical review of the research studies, published between 2002 and 2008, about the use of the Capes Digital Library of Scientific Journals. 11 studies were found, reported in 20 publications. The instruments utilized for data collection were analyzed to identify the variables studied. These were classified into 14 categories and aim at measuring the success of the Portal through its use and user satisfaction and at identifying factors which can explain its use or lack of it such as the characteristics of the user, user awareness about the Portal and its resources, use of other sources of information and application of the information retrieved. They also elicit the difficulties undergone by the users, the advantages and impact of the use of the Portal, user search behavior and suggestions to improve the system.@en
                    [1] => Este artigo apresenta uma análise e síntese das variáveis estudadas nas pesquisas sobre o uso do Portal de Periódicos da Capes divulgadas entre os anos de 2002 a 2008. Foram encontradas 11 pesquisas distintas relatadas em 20 publicações. Os instrumentos utilizados para coleta de dados foram a base para a identificação das variáveis, as quais foram classificadas em 14 categorias. Essas variáveis visam medir o sucesso do Portal através do seu uso e da satisfação dos seus usuários e identificar fatores que podem explicar o uso ou não-uso tais como características do usuário, seu conhecimento sobre o Portal e seus recursos, seu uso de outras fontes de informação e a finalidade do uso do Portal. Visam ainda elicitar as dificuldades enfrentadas pelos usuários, as vantagens percebidas e os impactos do Portal, o comportamento do usuário na busca de informação e sugestões para melhorias para o sistema.@pt
