This involves removing physical barriers and adopting assistive technologies. Ensuring accessibility is essential for promoting equal opportunities and inclusion in the academic context. University libraries play a significant role in promoting inclusion and diversity by allowing all students to access available resources and benefits. The preparation of staff members involved is essential to provide inclusive and welcoming service. However, the lack of resources can be a barrier to implementing accessibility measures. The article aims to investigate the issues and challenges faced by the staff members of a university library in promoting an inclusive and accessible environment. The research adopts a qualitative, exploratory, and case study approach. Interviews with the staff members are conducted to gather information about their experiences, training, identification of users with special needs, specific user needs, and perceptions about the accessibility of the environment. The research results demonstrate that the training and development of professionals are crucial to provide quality inclusive service. The lack of specific training in inclusive education can hinder the understanding of user demands and the identification of appropriate strategies. The research also highlights the importance of accessible physical infrastructure and the availability of assistive technologies in libraries. Based on the results, actions are suggested to improve accessibility and inclusion in the library, such as continuous professional development, providing resources in accessible formats, and implementing improvements in routines and information. The research emphasizes the importance of awareness and constant updating of professionals to keep up with changes and advancements in user needs.@en
                    [1] => Objetivo: Investigar as questões e desafios enfrentados pela equipe de servidores de uma biblioteca universitária em relação à promoção de um ambiente inclusivo e acessível. Metodologia: A pesquisa utiliza uma abordagem qualitativa, exploratória e de estudo de caso. São realizadas entrevistas com os servidores para obter informações sobre suas experiências, formação, identificação de usuários com necessidades especiais, necessidades específicas dos usuários e percepção sobre a acessibilidade do ambiente. Resultados: Os resultados da pesquisa mostram que a formação e capacitação dos profissionais são cruciais para fornecer um atendimento inclusivo de qualidade. A falta de formação específica na área de educação inclusiva pode dificultar a compreensão das demandas dos usuários e a identificação de estratégias adequadas. A pesquisa também destaca a importância da infraestrutura física acessível e da disponibilidade de tecnologias assistivas nas bibliotecas. Conclusões: Com base nos resultados, são sugeridas ações para melhorar a acessibilidade e inclusão na biblioteca, como a capacitação contínua dos profissionais, a disponibilização de recursos em formatos acessíveis e a implementação de melhorias nas rotinas e informações.
