The present article discusses different approaches to the concept of information, focusing on the centrality of a quantitative conception in the dominant regime of information. Its objective is to provide a critical analysis of the relationship between the organization of information and the current socioeconomic context, highlighting how the regime of information is grounded in quantitative conceptions to the detriment of its more qualitative and subjective values. Based on Carlo Ginzburg's evidential paradigm, a theoretical review anchored in concepts from philosophy and information science is conducted to explore clues of different informational conceptions and their uses. The investigation highlights how the quantitative dominance of information influences knowledge processes, as well as social and economic relations, emphasizing the political and ideological impacts of this informational configuration. It concludes that balancing the qualitative and quantitative dimensions in the field of information is essential to promote a more ethical and holistic use within the dominant regime of information.
                                            [1] => O presente artigo discute diferentes abordagens do conceito de informação, enfocando a centralidade da concepção quantitativa no regime de informação dominante. Busca, como objetivo, tecer uma análise crítica sobre a relação entre a organização da informação e o contexto socioeconômico vigente, destacando como o regime de informação se alicerça sobre concepções quantitativas em detrimento de seus valores mais qualitativos e subjetivos. A partir do método indiciário de Carlo Ginzburg, é feita uma  revisão teórica ancorada em conceitos da filosofia e da ciência da informação, para explorar indícios de diferentes concepções informacionais e seus usos. A investigação evidencia como a prevalência quantitativa da informação influi sobre os processos de conhecimento, relações sociais e econômicas, salientando os impactos políticos e ideológicos dessa configuração informacional. Conclui-se que é essencial equilibrar as dimensões qualitativas e quantitativas no campo informacional, para promover ao regime de informação dominante um uso mais ético e holístico da mesma.
