                                            [0] => This article performs a historical-epistemological review of the literature on the principle of provenance carried out in the second half of the 20th century, during which the discussions are contextualized, the tendencies of the debate are analyzed, important relationships between the proposals are identified and emerging perspectives are pointed out. It is discovered that the new dynamics of archival source production, the transformation of the classical organization of nineteenth-century institutions, the recognition of other archival sources external to the canonically recognized ones prompted a movement of resignification of the principle from the decade of 1960. This displacement fostered poly-hierarchical relationship models of organizational structures, in addition to inserting it into a historical-social approach. Therefore, the principle moves away from being a pragmatic norm and approaches more abstract levels of knowledge. This itinerary made the collections less dependent on physical spaces and at the same time more concerned with the cultural contexts of community trajectories.
                                            [1] => Se realiza una revisión histórico-epistemológica de la literatura sobre el principio de procedencia en la segunda mitad del siglo XX durante la cual se contextualizan las discusiones, analizan las tendencias del debate, se establecen relaciones entre las propuestas y señalan perspectivas emergentes. Se descubre que las nuevas dinámicas de producción de fuentes archivísticas, la transformación de la organización clásica de las instituciones decimonónicas, el reconocimiento de otras fuentes archivísticas externas a las canónicamente reconocidas incitaron un movimiento de resignificación del principio de procedencia a partir de la década de 1960. Ese desplazamiento propició modelos de relación poli jerárquicas de las estructuras organizacionales, además de insertarlo en un enfoque histórico-social. Por tanto, el principio de procedencia se aleja de ser una normativa pragmática y se acerca a niveles de conocimiento más abstracto. Dicho itinerario hizo que las colecciones fueran menos dependientes de los espacios físicos y al mismo tiempo más preocupadas por los contextos culturales de las trayectorias comunitarias.
