                    [0] => The conceptual variation on the term intelligence in the scientific publications in Information Science was analyzed, based on records retrieved from the Base de Dados Referenciais de Artigos de Periódicos em Ciência da Informação. Exploratory research with a qualitative and quantitative approach was developed, with the aim of identifying concepts about the term intelligence in the records retrieved from the database, based on the search term ‘intelligence*’. Data analysis was carried out by checking records that presented the term ‘intelligence’ and related terms. Some exclusion and inclusion criteria were established, restricting the search to the records titles, since the variety of concepts about ´intelligence´ was better visualized from the title.322 records indexed in database were mapped, listing 31 concepts attributed to the term ‘intelligence’. However, the multiplicity of concepts of the term ‘intelligence’ focuses on aspects centered on collection; validation; analysis; and dissemination of information for decision-making purposes. The various concepts surrounding the term ´intelligence´ are closely related to management tools and, in turn, comprise the life cycle of data and information, which begins with prospecting, monitoring, selection, evaluation, dissemination and disposal. Therefore, there is alignment of the concepts attributed to the term ´intelligence´ with the concept of Information Science established by theorists in the field. It is concluded that information is an essential input for the performance of organizations and that informational resources, in order to be truly efficient and effective assets, need to be combined with other organizational resources. @en
                    [1] => A pesquisa objetiva analisar a variação conceitual sobre o termo inteligência em publicações científicas da Ciência da Informação, a partir dos registros recuperados na Base de Dados Referenciais de Artigos de Periódicos em Ciência da Informação. A metodologia adota uma pesquisa exploratória de abordagem qualiquantitativa, no intuito de identificar conceitos sobre o termo inteligência nos registros recuperados na referida base de dados, a partir do termo de busca ‘inteligência*’. Os resultados indicam que no corpus de documentos recuperados, os diversos conceitos estão inter-relacionados as ferramentas de gestão empresarial, em que as organizações procuram conhecer efetivamente o ambiente interno e externo, por meio da prospecção e do monitoramento informacional e, posteriormente, a partir da análise dos dados coletados transformá-los em informação e conhecimento estratégico para a organização. Conclui que a informação é um insumo imprescindível para a atuação das organizações e os recursos informacionais para serem de fato ativos eficientes e eficazes, precisam ser conjugados com outros recursos organizacionais, assim como a inteligência precisa ser aplicada de modo coordenado para que os objetivos organizacionais sejam concretizados, tendo em conta o ambiente interno e externo organizacional, bem como considerando os públicos internos e externos como parte das estratégias de motivação e fidelização no curto, médio e longo prazos.@pt
