                                            [0] => This paper discusses the conceptions and values of the library for in-training teachers. The analysis demonstrates that the library carries out the functions of informant, entertainment and social agent, in addition to the role of providing support for school work. As the role of the library in the personal/school context started to be understood,its use gradually became a basic need for the teaching/learning process rather than an obligatory aspect of the educational system.
                                            [1] => Discute as concepções e os valores de biblioteca para alunos de magistério. A análise da trajetória pessoal/escolar, da formação docente e da futura prática profissional demonstra que a biblioteca exerce as funções de informante, entretenimento e agente social, além de atuar como subsídio às pesquisas escolares. Percebe-se que, à medida que se foi compreendendo o papel da biblioteca no contexto pessoal/escolar, o seu uso foi deixando de ser uma obrigatoriedade do sistema educacional para se tornar uma necessidade básica do processo ensino-aprendizagem.
