                                            [0] => Este artigo analisa os padrões de investimento em venture capital (VC) por grandes empresas de plataforma digitais, evidenciando sua influência na reorganização do sistema centro-periferia na Era Digital. Com base em dados da Crunchbase, identificamos que a Inteligência Artificial (IA) é central nas estratégias de investimento de grandes Big Techs dos EUA e China, como as representadas pelas siglas GAFAM e BAT, abrangendo setores como software, saúde, educação e e-commerce. Contudo, em países da América Latina e África, esses investimentos se concentram em setores não diretamente relacionados à IA, como o financeiro e comercial. O estudo revela a dependência tecnológica dos países periféricos, onde o desenvolvimento de IA é limitado, refletindo padrões desiguais de inovação global.
                                            [1] => This article analyzes venture capital (VC) investment patterns by large digital platform companies, highlighting their influence on the reorganization of the center-periphery system in the Digital Age. Based on Crunchbase data, we identified that Artificial Intelligence (AI) plays a central role in the investment strategies of major U.S. and Chinese Big Tech companies, such as those represented by the acronyms GAFAM and BAT, covering sectors like software, healthcare, education, and e-commerce. However, in Latin American and African countries, these investments are concentrated in sectors not directly related to AI, such as finance and commerce. The study reveals the technological dependence of peripheral countries, where AI development is limited, reflecting unequal patterns of global innovation.
