                    [0] => With the objective of characterizing the visiting public of the Araguaia Natural History Museum (MuHNA) and to evaluate how visitors perceive the museum, a survey was carried out using the documentary research and case study tools. The museum´s Visitor Registration Book (VRB) was analyzed, and a questionnaire was applied. In its first year of operation, the museum received 3151 visitors from 16 states and 79 Brazilian cities, in addition to visitors from Mexico, Argentina and Chile. Most were under 24 years old (62%), female (63%), had a family income of less than 3 minimum wages (23%), were accompanied by others (91%), reported that the visit matched or exceeded the expectations (96%), and would return (98%). Regarding communication, 85% reported being effective. According to the data, the MuHNA has the potential to establish itself as an important cultural device for scientific dissemination in the eastern region of MT.@en
                    [1] => Este trabalho teve por objetivos caracterizar o público visitante do Museu de História Natural do Araguaia (MuHNA) e avaliar como os visitantes percebem o museu. Foram utilizadas as ferramentas de pesquisa documental e estudo de caso, sendo analisado o Livro de Registro de Visitantes (LRV) do museu e aplicado um questionário. No seu primeiro ano de funcionamento, o MuHNA recebeu 3151 visitantes, oriundos de 16 estados e 79 cidades brasileiras, além de visitantes do México, Argentina e Chile. A maioria era menor de 24 anos (62,0%), do gênero feminino (63%), tinha renda familiar inferior a 3 salários mínimos (23%), foram acompanhados (91%), relataram que a visita correspondeu ou superou as expectativas (96%) e voltariam (98%). Em relação à comunicação, 85% relataram ser eficaz. De acordo com os dados, o MuHNA tem potencial para se estabelecer como um importante equipamento cultural para a divulgação científica na região leste de MT.@pt
