                    [0] => This article aims to present the structure of the patent application to consider that the understanding of the meaning, structure and content reserved for these arch and retrieval of this type of document. This is an exploratory and descriptive study using bibliographic research and documentary analysis procedures. Empirical data was collected in the analysis unit of patent application PI 0903266-5 B1. A brief analysis of the citations was also carried out, which contributed to highlighting that scientific knowledge permeates the technological information generated in the Industrial Property System. The results obtained allowed the presentation and exploration of the patent document considering its form and content. A brief analysis of the requests was also carried out, which contributed to demonstrating that scientific knowledge permeates the technological information generated in the Industrial Property System.47 citations of scientific articles published in 18 journal titles, 15 patent applications, a utility model and four books were identified.It is concluded that information competence for managing Patent System information is desirable and necessary to enhance the search, retrieval, use and dissemination of patent information.@en
                    [1] => Este artigo tem como objetivo apresentar a estrutura do pedido de patente por considerar que a compreensão sobre o significado, a estrutura e o conteúdo contribuem para a busca e recuperação desse tipo de documento. Trata-se de um estudo exploratório e descritivo, com o uso dos procedimentos da pesquisa bibliográfica e análise documental. Os dados empíricos foram coletados na unidade de análise do pedido de patente PI 0903266-5 B1. Também foi feita uma breve análise das citações, que contribuiu para evidenciar que o conhecimento científico permeia a informação tecnológica gerada no Sistema de Propriedade Industrial. Os resultados obtidos permitiram a apresentação e exploração do documento de patente considerando sua forma e conteúdo. Foram identificadas 47 citações de artigos científicos publicados em 18 títulos de periódicos, 15 pedidos de patentes, um modelo de utilidade e quatro livros. Concluiu-se que a competência em informação para o manejo das informações do Sistema de Patentes é desejável e necessária para potencializar a busca, recuperação, uso e divulgação das informações patentárias.@pt
